    招务超 Zhao Wuchao

 

    男，1944年生，广东省南海县人。中国美术家协会广东分会会员。

 

    自幼酷爱绘画，六十年代受教于胡根天、叶少秉、卢子枢和孙文斌等粤海名师，学习传统中国画技法及其它绘画技巧。长期而刻苦的画艺钻研，令他奠下了深厚的艺术基础。他曾游遍中国大江南北，以搜集创作素材，并广博地研究中外各类艺术及流派。近二十年来，他潜心创作中国画，并为其创新付出了很大的努力，绘画出众多令人感动赞叹的优秀作品，并获得了中外艺术界和收藏家的高度评价。

 

    招务超的作品结合了写实主义和浪漫主义，并融会贯通了浙、海，及南北诸画派的笔墨风格；既有岭南画派之造型巧准、赋彩亮丽，亦含有海派之苍厚、拙朴和含蓄；同时，更渗以各种绘画技法加以烘托，使其层次丰富而饶富新意；他所绘的山水和锦鲤，严谨且富难度，带有强烈的个人风格和时代气息。

 

    历年来，招务超的作品曾多次参加国内外大型美展，并大量在报章杂志刊登发表。1987至2007年间，招务超先后多次在中国、香港、台湾、新加坡，和马来西亚等地举办个人画展和联展；作品广为国内外华人及欧美人士收藏。出版有《招务超画集》、《招务超新作集》及《山川寄情 招务超近作集》等多本个人画集。

 

    Male, born in Nanhai County of Guangdong Province in 1944. He is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Guangdong Branch.

 

    Zhao has been passionate in paintings since his small age. In the early 1960s, he followed the teaching of the celebrated artists of Guangdong Province, namely Hu Gentian, Ye Shaobing, Lu Zishu and Sun Wenbin, to study traditional Chinese paintings as well as those of other cultures. Being adept in both landscape and flower-and-bird paintings, he has profound mastery of painting techniques and has developed a solid artstic foundation after years of comprehensive and intensive practice and studies. He has also traveled widely to mountains and rivers in China for inspiration and nourishment for his artistic creation. In these twenty years, he has devoted whole-heartedly to bringing innovations for Chinese paintings and has created numerous masterpieces, which earned him the acclaim of the art circle and art collectors here and overseas.

 

    Zhao's works adopt both realism and romanticism, and synthesize the styles of the Southern, Northern, Zhejiang and Shanghai schools. Besides, they exhibit also the strengths of Lingnan School, that is the portrayal accuracy, the use of brilliant colors and vigorous strokes, as well as simplicity and aesthetic subtlety. Moreover, Zhao does not flinch from adopting Western techniques such as in coloring and creating contrast. Therefore, his works constitute great stratifications, variation of thickness, and demonstrate high originality. In particular, Zhao's landscapes and variegated carps are strenuous, intense and vivacious, all with a strong flavor of modernity and individuality.

 

    Zhao's paintings have frequently been exhibited in China and overseas. While enjoying praises from audience and art critics, his paintings are extensively published in periodicals and journals at home and abroad. During 1987 and 2007, his solo exhibitions have been held in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. His paintings are frequently targeted by collectors from China, U.S., Europe.
